Notes

'Iva Walker' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Iva Walker') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Edward Lee Michau bred it, and he named it for his mother. Rose-pink double blooms open in early to mid spring on plants about 28 inches tall. The guard petals fold back with age to form a loose collar around the feathery center.

Pairs well with Winterberry, Cinnamon fern, and Honeyberry.
