Notes

'Iwo' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Iwo') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The rose-red petals surround bright golden yellow centers in early summer. Jesse C. Nicholls bred it, and it grows to a medium height with medium-sized blooms.

Pairs well with New England aster, Royal fern, and Incrediball hydrangea.
