Notes

'Jeannot' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Jeannot') is a perennial for borders, cut flower use, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Auguste Dessert bred it. The large double blooms open in late spring in pale rose-pink with a deeper old-rose center and a hint of pale violet. The flowers are faintly fragrant and have a smooth, waxy feel.

Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Grape hyacinth, and Showy milkweed.
