Notes

'Jermyns Gold' Chinese witch hazel (Hamamelis mollis 'Jermyns Gold') is a shrub for borders, specimens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fragrant yellow flowers have red at the base and attract birds. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It grows slowly into an erect shrub, so give it room to reach its full size.

Pairs well with Japanese holly, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Paper birch.
