'Jiang Nan Chun Yang' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Jiang Nan Chun Yang') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Midseason double flowers open deep pink and fade to light pink at the petal edges. The blooms face downward, so cut stems are nice to view up close. The spreading plants benefit greatly from support.
Pairs well with Wild geranium, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
