'Jiang Nan Li Ying' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Jiang Nan Li Ying') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Double, fragrant flowers open in mid to late spring. They are dark reddish-purple with white edges on the petals. The upright plants reach about 35 inches and do not need support.
