'Jiang Nan Si Lu' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Jiang Nan Si Lu') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its purple anemone flowers have white petal edges and face upward in mid to late spring. The upright plants have broadly cut green foliage, so they do not need support.
