Notes

'Joehanna' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Joehanna') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The lilac-pink flowers are a full rose type and measure seven inches across. The petals are packed so tightly that each bloom seems almost hard. The foliage is heavy, the stems are thick, and cut flowers hold well for a long time.

Pairs well with Lilac, Smooth hydrangea, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
