Notes

'Josee' lilac (Syringa vulgaris 'Josee') is a shrub for hedges, privacy screens, specimen plantings, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The fragrant pink to purple flowers attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer tend to pass it by. The shrub has an arching habit and a moderate growth rate.

Pairs well with Siloam Amazing Grace daylily, Purple Sensation ornamental onion, and Ravenswing cow parsley.
