Notes

'Joyful Gleam' peony (Paeonia 'Joyful Gleam') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roger F. Anderson bred it, and each upright stem holds one single, creamy yellow bloom. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Queen of Night tulip.
