Notes

'Joyful Harmony' peony (Paeonia 'Joyful Harmony') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Single magenta red blooms reach about 4½ inches across on upright stems that stand 28 to 30 inches tall without support. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, June hosta, and Carlton daffodil.
