Notes

'Joyful Hope' peony (Paeonia 'Joyful Hope') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Swenson Gardens bred it, and it bears fragrant, pearl pink single blooms that attract butterflies and bees. It stands 30 inches tall and needs no support.

Pairs well with June hosta, Paprika yarrow, Carlton daffodil, and Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea.
