Notes
'Joyful Note' peony (Paeonia 'Joyful Note') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Swenson Gardens bred it, and the single blush blooms open early in the season. The blooms attract bees and butterflies, and the upright stems need no support. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Praying Hands hosta, Switchgrass, and Nodding onion.
