Notes

'Joyful Sun' peony (Paeonia 'Joyful Sun') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Its fragrant, light yellow, single flowers open in midseason and attract butterflies and bees. The upright stems reach 22 inches and need no support.

Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Praying Hands hosta, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
