Notes

'Jupiter' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Jupiter') is a perennial for borders and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Kelway bred it. The single rosy magenta blooms open in early to late spring on strong red stems. Light green foliage sets it apart from other red singles, and the compact, erect plants bloom freely.

Pairs well with Queen of Night tulip, Cinnamon fern, Orange lily, and Black chokeberry.
