Notes

'Karatsu' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Karatsu') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are white or light pink with red stripes. They have a Japanese type flower form, so the blooms look good in a vase.

Pairs well with Liberty hosta, Star Gazer lily, and Prairie dropseed.
