Notes

'Kathryn Curran' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Kathryn Curran') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Edward Auten, Jr bred it in 1952. The double white blooms open in late spring and have a rose fragrance. Trim foliage starts at ground level, and the flowers are carried gracefully above it.

Pairs well with Nepeta, Solomon's seal, Pink Impression tulip, and Royal fern.
