Notes

Kin-kaku peony (Paeonia 'Kin-kaku (see Souvenir de Maxime Cornu)') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It blooms in early to late spring and attracts butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Wada bred it in 1939.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Susan magnolia, and Lily.
