Notes
'Kuga Variegated' climbing hydrangea (Hydrangea anomala 'Kuga Variegated') is a vine for specimen use and privacy screening. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade. White flowers open in early to mid summer and attract butterflies and bees. The variegated leaves add color even when the plant is not in bloom. It climbs to 20 to 30 feet, so give it a strong support.
Pairs well with Rouge Cardinal clematis, Western sword fern, and Autumn Brilliance juneberry.
