Notes

'Skylands Giant' climbing hydrangea (Hydrangea anomala 'Skylands Giant') is a vine for specimen use and privacy screening. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade. It climbs on its own and can reach 30 to 40 feet tall. White flowers open in early to mid summer and draw butterflies and bees. Keep pets and horses away from it, since it is toxic to dogs, cats, and horses.

Pairs well with Canadian hemlock, Western sword fern, and Winterberry.
