Notes
'La Clément' peony (Paeonia 'La Clément') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Yellow single flowers open early and have a spicy fragrance. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The dark green plant stands about 36 inches tall and needs no support.
Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Black Parrot tulip.
