'Lady Bird Johnson' tulip (Tulipa 'Lady Bird Johnson') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows about 20 inches tall and blooms yellow from early to late spring. Hybris bred it. The flower opens canary yellow outside and sulphur yellow inside, and the colors deepen as it matures.
Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Cat's Pajamas nepeta, and Kansas peony.
