Notes

'Lancaster' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Lancaster') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms in early summer with large, double, rose-shaped white flowers that have occasional crimson streaks and flecks. The short, upright plant stays tidy in the garden.

Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Royal fern, and Dalmatian bellflower.
