Notes

'Largo' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Largo') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Judge Laurence A. Vories bred it in 1929. Its large, fragrant pink flowers have a yellow center and open in early summer. The blooms are held high above the foliage.

Pairs well with False Solomon's seal, Pink Impression tulip, and Bracken.
