Notes

'Lawrence Johnston' rose (Rosa 'Lawrence Johnston') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and loamy or clay soil. Fragrant yellow flowers open in mid to late spring, again in summer, and once more in early autumn. Bees visit the blooms. Pernet-Ducher bred it, and it grows tall and bushy, so give it room.

Pairs well with Clary sage, Nelly Moser clematis, and Feather reed grass.
