Notes

'J.C. Legg' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'J.C. Legg') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers open in mid to late spring. Broad white guard petals surround a large globular center of long narrow petals that fade from yellow to white. Good stems of good height make it a fine pick for cutting.

Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Prairie dropseed, Christmas fern, and Hairy aster.
