Notes

Lemmon's sage (Salvia microphylla) is a shrub for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and xeriscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deep pink to crimson flowers form long tubes in clusters at the stem ends, and hummingbirds visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The aromatic leaves stay green all year.

Pairs well with Lavender, Yarrow, and Lanceleaf coreopsis.
