Notes

'Lemon Clouds' peony (Paeonia 'Lemon Clouds') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Chris Laning bred it, and it blooms early in spring with fragrant, soft lemon yellow, semi-double flowers. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Each stem carries one fringed bloom, and bees and butterflies visit.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Fragrant Bouquet hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Black Parrot tulip.
