Notes

'L’Etincelante' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'L’Etincelante') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, cupped flowers open in mid to late spring in bright pink, with a lighter, almost silvery edge on each petal. Golden yellow stamens fill the center. The stems are stiff, so the tall plant holds its blooms well.

Pairs well with American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan, Prairie dropseed, Black Hero tulip, and Limeglow creeping juniper.
