Notes

'Liebchen' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Liebchen') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Arthur L. Murawska bred it. The deep pink blooms open in midseason and hold their color until the flower fades. Strong stems and dark green foliage keep the plant tidy at a medium height.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Little Beauty tulip, Tall fescue, and Cinnamon fern.
