Notes
Lifelong saxifrage (Saxifraga paniculata) is a perennial for containers, ground cover, and low maintenance spots. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and dry to average, sandy or chalky soil. It stays evergreen and handles drought well. It grows in rocky ledges and crevices, often in calcareous areas, so give it sharp drainage.
Pairs well with Sherwood Purple phlox, American maidenhair fern, and Green Mound alpine currant.
