Notes
'Lilac Time' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Lilac Time') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is a Japanese type with rich mauve lilac blooms. The collar and the center cluster of laciniated petaloids share the same color. The buds look like long rose buds, so it makes a different choice for bouquets.
Pairs well with White Feather hosta, Immortality iris, Scentara Double Blue lilac, and Sensitive fern.
