Notes

'Lilli Marlene' rose (Rosa 'Lilli Marlene') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The compact, bushy plant stays 20 to 30 inches tall. Fragrant, medium red flowers open in late spring, again in summer, and again in early autumn, and bees visit them. Reimer Kordes bred it in 1960.

Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Little bluestem, and Garlic chives.
