Notes

'Lime Lighter' peony (Paeonia 'Lime Lighter') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Lemon-yellow semi-double blooms with dark red flares open in early to late spring on stems with good strength. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. John and Dot McFarlane introduced it in 2001.

Pairs well with Green Spice coral bells, Foxglove, and Royal Purple smoketree.
