Notes
'Linné' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Linné') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears fragrant, double red flowers in early summer above dark foliage. Philippe-Victor Verdier bred it. The compact, upright clumps stay tidy in the garden.
Pairs well with Columbine, Royal fern, Spanish bluebell, and Foxtail barley.
