Notes

'Little Boy Blue' blue sage (Salvia azurea 'Little Boy Blue') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, cottage gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy soil. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers, which open from early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. The clumping plant is drought tolerant and grows 24 to 48 inches tall.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Purple Coneflower coneflower, and Sundrops.
