Notes

'Nekan' blue sage (Salvia azurea 'Nekan') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy soil. It forms a clump 24 to 48 inches tall and up to 36 inches wide. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms in summer and again in autumn. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Prairie dropseed, and Sundrops.
