Notes

'Lois' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Lois') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The medium pink double blooms are fragrant and open early, as the first double of its group to bloom. Strong stems stay dwarf at about 26 inches. Hans Peter Sass bred it.

Pairs well with Aromatic aster, Black Hero tulip, and Royal fern.
