Notes
'Loren Franklin' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Loren Franklin') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant, deep pink, full rose type blooms open in late spring. Stiff stems hold the large flowers upright, and the foliage reaches the ground. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it.
Pairs well with Iris, Ostrich fern, and Kentucky bluegrass.
