Notes

'Lovelight' camellia (Camellia japonica 'Lovelight') is a shrub for borders, woodland gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun and average to wet soil. It grows slowly in a columnar shape, stays evergreen, and blooms in winter and spring. Bees and birds visit it. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Wild ginger, Wax myrtle, and Boxwood.
