Notes

'Loveliness' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Loveliness') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. George Hollis bred it in 1907. The large, double, fragrant blooms open light pink with a darker center and age to white in late spring to early summer. Strong stems hold the flowers upright.

Pairs well with Cheerfulness daffodil, Blonde Ambition blue grama, Knapweed, and Sensitive fern.
