Notes

'Low Scape Snowfire' black chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa 'Low Scape Snowfire') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 48 to 72 inches tall with an erect habit. White flowers open in early to late spring and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. It also tolerates drought, so it needs little care.

Pairs well with Spicebush, Sedge, Royal fern, and Indian grass.
