Notes
'Madame Reignoux' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Madame Reignoux') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears double pink blooms that suit a sunny border. Cut a few stems for a vase, and the bed will still look full. Auguste Dessert bred it in 1921.
Pairs well with Smooth aster, Sedge, and Butterfly milkweed.
