Notes

'Madelin Teresa' peony (Paeonia 'Madelin Teresa') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, double red blooms fade to salmon and then cream, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Roger F. Anderson bred it in 1991.

Pairs well with Creeping phlox, Stargazer lily, and Western sword fern.
