Notes

'Magnolia' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Magnolia') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is a Japanese type with bright rose-pink, overlapping petals. The center holds enlarged chrome-yellow stamens crusted with golden yellow. Growth is strong and vigorous, and George C. Thurlow bred it.

Pairs well with Immortality iris, Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Foxtail barley, and Carlton daffodil.
