Notes
Majorcan hellebore (Helleborus lividus) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It stays evergreen and tolerates drought, and the flowers open from winter into spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and spreads 24 to 36 inches.
Pairs well with Nigrescens mondo grass, Pale yellow-eyed grass, and Daffodil.
