Notes
'Mandy' amur maple (Acer tataricum 'Mandy') is a tree for pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Greenish-yellow flowers open from early to late spring and attract bees. The dense canopy grows slowly to about 240 inches tall and wide, and it turns color in fall. It is also drought tolerant once established.
Pairs well with Small-leaved lime, Japanese spirea, and Spanish bluebell.
