Notes
'Flame' amur maple (Acer tataricum 'Flame') is a tree for pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Yellowish white, fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees. The dense crown turns color in fall. It grows slowly and can reach about 240 inches tall and wide, and it tolerates drought.
Pairs well with Abbotswood shrubby cinquefoil, Blue Moon honeyberry, Charm peony, and Red fescue.
