Notes

'Maria Teressa' peony (Paeonia 'Maria Teressa') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant, deep pink double flowers open in late May on strong stems that hold them high. Each bloom lasts about two weeks. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Paris coral bells, Jacob’s ladder, Jackmanii clematis, and Buffalo grass.
