Notes

'Marie Talbot' peony (Paeonia 'Marie Talbot') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep purplish red flowers are 7 inches across, smell sweet and spicy, and attract bees and butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. François-Léo Tremblay bred it.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Stargazer lily, Sedge, and Obedient plant.
